BEHAVIORAL ASSESSMENTS

Behavioral assessments are used throughout therapeutic services to monitor progress. ***

Behavioral assessments are used throughout therapeutic services to monitor progress. It's good practice for technicians to assess the child to determine support needed and to improve the learning environment.

Before therapy services begin, an initial assessment is conducted by a Board Certified Behavior Analysis (BCBA). The results are used to create an individualized treatment plan for the learner. Assessments are updated continuously during ABA therapy services. The BCBA adjusts their therapy program to accommodate the child's needs.

Our BCBA works with clients to determine areas of concern. Their primary objective is to create an environment that is conducive to learning. The areas of concern are used as tools to reinforce positive behavior.

Behavioral assessments used but not limited to:

  • Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program (VB-MAPP)
  • Preference assessments
  • Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA)

*** Please note: This is an assessment of behavior for ABA Services. We do not provide diagnosis based assessments. The best place to start for psychological assessments is your child's primary care doctor. Once your child has a diagnosis, we can provide this assessment for ABA Services.
